She has contributed to various publications, including <em>Ruch Muzyczny<\/em>, <em>Gazeta Wyborcza<\/em>, <em>Wprost<\/em>, <em>Newsweek<\/em>, <em>Midrasz<\/em>, and <em>Jazz Forum<\/em>. Since 2002, she has been associated with the weekly magazine <em>Polityka<\/em>. She is the author of the books <em>Razem w \u017cyciu i muzyce. Rozmowy z Ew\u0105 Podle\u015b i Jerzym Marchwi\u0144skim<\/em> (2001) and <em>Czas Warszawskich Jesieni. O muzyce polskiej 1945\u20132007<\/em> (2007), and has also authored entries for the <em>PWM Music Encyclopedia<\/em>. In 2007, she launched <em>Co w duszy gra<\/em>\u2014the first music blog in Poland\u2014on the <em>Polityka<\/em> website, which she continues to write to this day. Her honors include the Medal of the Association of Polish Musicians for Services to Polish Music (2007), the &#8222;Distinguished for Polish Culture&#8221; honorary badge (2007), and the Honorary Award of the Polish Composers&#8217; Union (2009).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dorota Szwarcman is a music journalist and critic, and a graduate of the composition program at the Warsaw music academy.
